Amplitude-modulated, Cosine PE and WP Pulses: Theory and Applicability
نویسندگان
چکیده
The amplitude-modulated, cosine powerexponential (PE) and windowed-power (WP) pulses are discussed, by insisting on their time-domain normalization. Illustrative examples of signatures correspondent frequency-domain behavior given. These compellingly demonstrate the possibility to replace non-causal prevalent use causal, or even time-windowed, with closely resembling signatures.

Quadrature Amplitude Modulated Digital Radio Transmission Modeling and Simulation
Computer aided design and computer aided modeling tools are becoming increasingly important in the design and performance evaluation of communication systems. In this work, we report on the computer simulation modeling study of terrestrial digital microwave radio transmission, using Block Oriented System Simulator package (BOSS). The work concentrates on semi-analytical error rate evaluation in...
متن کاملExact and Approximate Construction of Digital Phase Modulations by Superposition of Amplitude Modulated Pulses (AMP)
Minimum shift keying and offset QPSK are two well-known modulations which can be interpreted as a set of time/phase-shifted AM pulses. We show in this paper that any constant amplitude binary phase modulation can also be expressed as a sum of a finite number of time limited amplitude modulated pulses (AMP decomposition). New methods for computing autocorrelation and power frequency spectrum are...

To give exibility to the time-frequency resolution trade-o of orthonormal (ON) wavelet bases constructed by I.Daubechies [2, 1], recently multiplicityM ON wavelet bases(more generally tight frames (TFs)) have been constructedby several authors [3, 4, ?, 7, 12]. These generalizations ofthe multiplicity 2 ON wavelet bases of I. Daubechies, di erfrom the latter in that, whi...
متن کاملDesign of cosine modulated very selective suppression pulses for MR spectroscopic imaging at 3T.
The advantages of using a 3 Tesla (T) scanner for MR spectroscopic imaging (MRSI) of brain tissue include improved spectral resolution and increased sensitivity. Very selective saturation (VSS) pulses are important for maximizing selectivity for PRESS MRSI and minimizing chemical shift misregistration by saturating signals from outside the selected region. Although three-dimensional (3D) PRESS ...
